Stadionus company has announced the first release of Stadionus 0.8, a program for analysis of football matches and 3D animating on the basis of real video files. Compared to similar software, it is a rare combination of advanced functions and affordable price.
Stadionus is an analytic program basically meant for football coaches, players, sports groups, journalists and websites. It provides detailed statistical data for analysis and enables the user to create a realistic 3D model of a match. However, it is also an interesting solution for everybody who simply enjoys watching football, especially given that many of the program´s features are available for free.
How does it work? The user should upload the source video and calibrate the cameras, so that the model of the game would be precise and realistic. Thanks to the special calibration tool of Stadionus it is quite simple. When information about players and game events is entered, the program calculates everything else on its own. As a result the user gets a 3D animated model of the match together with comprehensive game statistics.
The statistical data consists of a detailed overview of the uploaded match, graphs of players´ speed and acceleration, comparative tables of passing accuracy, dynamic charts, etc. In general, it is possible to compare various performance aspects of teams and individual players (scored goals, passes, fouls, events, tactics, and many more). Though a great amount of data is provided, it is clearly and conveniently arranged. What is more, the user may create printable match reports with lots of specific details.
It should be pointed out that a 3D model of a football match offers a good number of opportunities and benefits. The user may change the position of virtual cameras in order to get the game view that is absolutely impossible in real life – at any unusual angle, from the ball, from a player´s eyes and so on. Isn´t it fascinating to learn how Zidane, Beckham or Ronaldo see the match? Besides, it may prove useful for football coaches who train kids and youngsters. They will also appreciate that game analysis may be facilitated by means of various effects applied to the 3D model: for instance, it is possible to hoghlight the ball´s trajectory, the pass line, etc.
Utilizing the wide range of features, the user may create a very impressive video with the most favorable camera angles, close-ups, zooming and other effects. By the way, media resources can post or otherwise use interesting fragments of the game video generated by the program, because copyright will belong to Stadionus user only.
Stadionus also supports creation of stereo video files for viewing in stereo glasses. The program´s interface is localized into English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Russian.
